I got a chance to play the MPC Touch a few weeks ago and thought it was completely dope. We both love each other's gear and our own. I have Maschine and my friend owns the MPC Studio (the black one). Sorry I wrote you guys a short novel thanks for reading, Peace Just type in Wolfbeard, I'm attempting to upload a beat every day for a year like most of you I'm just trying to get my stuff out there, get feedback and get better so anyone listening and responding means a lot. Oh and I just started on YouTube recently and have basically no subscribers lol, any feedback or encouragement you could give would be greatly appreciated, and reciprocated as well. I know age doesn't mean the Studio is automatically worse but with technology stuff like this I know it can get outdated quick.Īt 600 for the touch and maschine its definitely more than I WANT to spend, but then again so is 400 for the Studio it's just 400 doesn't hurt quite as bad.Īny advice is appreciated. I think I understand the basics of the Maschine workflow from YouTube vids and it seems pretty dope but I can't find a video that explains the MPC studio workflow, at least not well.Īkai is who I've always seen my fav producers using so my instinct was to go that route but I hesitate because Maschine looks great on youtube, the Mk3 came out pretty recently whereas the MPC Studio is like 6 years old now, the Touch is about 3 (?) I think, and I cant afford a Live or X. I can't seem to find any solid info online for this so I was hoping someone could help.Īlso anyone who has used both could you explain the MPCs workflow compared to Maschines? This is probably a tough thing to explain fully so you don't have to be super specific. One reason I bought the Studio is I'm using FL Studio and I read somewhere that Maschine hardware doesn't integrate as well with FL, but then I talked to a producer who said he uses it and it works fine. I actually purchased the Studio from sweetwater already but I keep going back and forth the more videos I watch for the others, and I have 30 days to send it back so changing my mind wont be a big deal. I'm trying to get the right gear together and deciding on a drum machine, I've never owned one before but I've narrowed my choices down to the MPC Studio, MPC touch and the Maschine MK3. but, now I feel passion for music coming back and I'm trying to start again. I had a very deep desire to create and everything before, however some real stuff happened in my life and I had to attend to other things (I'll leave it there). So, I'm an aspiring hip hop producer who took more than four years off, and kinda. Hey everyone, my names Wolfbeard I'm kinda new to reddit so I don't really know if I'm posting in the right place, forgive me if I'm not.
